I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Hello! I am looking for two new Texas teachers (0-5 years) who would be interested in participating in a study I am doing as a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor. The study looks to understand the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and explore their resilience. Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Actually. Never give notice until after your background check clears.
Yes to holding off on sending notice. Wait until you have it in writing. No, nothing to worry about IMO. Probably just one persons signature holding things up.
It’s not necessarily anything to worry about, but definitely hold off until you have the written offer.
Did you do any negotiation when the verbal offer was extended? Be prepared that if you try negotiating after receiving the written offer it may be another delay because they need to get new approvals
If you prefer to see it all in writing maybe just make that clear up front that you want to see the offer to evaluate it, then it’s not as bad. In my case we were told a number they wanted, gave it to them, they accepted verbally and then asked for more after dragging their feet in reviewing
Ideally you can get all of this out of the way in the verbal offer stage thoubh
Job hunting Rule one: Never send your 2 weeks notice before you get a written offer. Don’t take things for granted as I’ve seen it happened.
Congratulations in advance. ☺️
All of our offers have to go through an annoying series of approvals with each personal in the approval chain needing to personally go in an click approve. So sometimes offers get stuck with one person. If you had the written offer within 48 hours, I’d say wow that was fast!
Totally get why you might want to see the written offer first before negotiating but it’s mildly annoying for everyone involved when you do that since if we change anything in the letter, it has to be redrafted and sent through approvals again.
Thank you! That’s insightful. And I hear you, I know it’ll delay the process even more. I saw one post about being ghosted after trying to negotiate so I’m honestly worried for both.
Never put in two weeks notice without first signing your new offer letter!
