No, LinkedIn postings are automatic and often stale. I got an offer with a big bank recently too and know they have a long approval process.
Is it me or has this been popping up a lot on here re: Citi ghosting? I swear I read a similar post here a few days ago! In any case, v sorry to hear this is your experience. You might want to reach out once more as a last ditch thing...but personally, I'd move on. It's a really uncool move to ghost like that, so it's not worth your time at this point
I'd be worried too. That seems like a long time, especially with the holidays. Wouldn't it be helpful if the recruiter would just tell you ANYTHING instead of leaving you hanging for a month?
Last I heard from her was 3 weeks ago. Assured me that she would have an update soon lol.
Update: Finally heard back and the recruiter told me the hiring manager decided to close the req and will reopen in the near future. Is that complete bullshit or something they would actually do?
Seems like a common practice. I went through the interviewing process and got selected among the finalists, then received an email notice from the system about the role was no longer available, 2 weeks later another email saying they closed the position and were reopening it again and wanted to proceed with me... I'm still waiting for them to reach back after negociating. I'm guessing they will come up to me with something similar
That is odd but it is during the holidays
I think it is too early for you to assume. You should give it some more time. Maybe 2-3weeks. The hiring process nowadays takes longer than usual.
Recruiters tend to do this after accepting a job at BofA a while back the recruiter would never respond. That said we are going into a recession so asking more could annoy people but it shouldn't cause you to lose the job. Also it is the holidays and people have pto and what not
How long has it been since you last heard from them? It's either their studying your last negotiation and how they can counter it to a mote fair amount or they totally ghosted you.
Nov 15 is the last time I heard back
