What is a good salary for a director in NY?
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Have an offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role but it seems like this one requires 2-3 days in the office - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

It isn’t rude to ask for those details—it’s actually pretty standard. I would just inquire about the rest of the benefits package so you have all the information to fully weigh your options. You could say something like, “Can you tell me about the rest of the benefits package so I can compare it to my current role?”—or something to that effect.
You can ask about what the company benefits include (like PTO, 401k, medical/dental coverage, bonus, etc) , and say that you would like this info so you can compare it to your current package.
If your tone is rude, than that is being rude. but asking about company benefits isn't rude if you keep it professional.
