What’s your work-life balance like? I feel like I’m constantly working after hours, always balancing multiple projects, hardly ever going through a phase where there isn’t a ton of critical initiatives going on. It definitely wasn’t like this when I was a more junior PMM, but as a Senior PMM, my work-life balance has severely decreased. Is this just the nature of Product Marketing? Or can I actually find a senior PMM role that allows a bit more room to breathe?

I asked for a raise and instead got laid off. Told that after looking into finances not only can they not afford a raise they cannot afford me. But I know for a fact they are replacing me with an Agency that say they can run our Social Media for 500pcm. Is this normal practice these days?

Dilemma… I left my old company 4 months ago. Today, they’ve reached out to me to ask me to come back at a higher role, Operations Manager. I would’ve jumped on this opportunity if they asked me before. However, this role would be hybrid (2x in office) and come along with more responsibilities and hours than my current WFH role which is very chill. The pay is only 15% more than I currently make. Any thoughts?

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?

My personal opinion is to go for DI because its in my hometown, for KPMG i need to relocate. But many people are telling WLB was bad in DI. any suggestions..
