I recently got promoted to senior at a large regional firm and will get in the high 70s (SF). If I were to go to industry, as a senior accountant I suppose, what sort of salary range can I expect?

That's what I thought. Talking to a recruiter today it sounded more like 75-85. Kind of a bummer when you always had this image in your head that industry paid better.

Glassdoor will use estimates if they don't have enough data, so it's not necessarily very helpful for reality.

Between 75k and 100k. YMMV.

Of course I've looked through that and the Robert half guide. Real people words are always more helpful.

Robert half is overstated. It's a recruiting firm

I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?
