Use it as a learning lesson, never be overly excited about a job until you have signed an employment agreement and have gotten a paycheck. I have literally accepted an offer that ended up falling through. It is the recruiters/interviewers job to be enthusiastic and keep you interested especially if you are a top contender, but never forget that you’re not the only one being interviewed. The advice is to never put your eggs in one basket, engage with as many companies as you can, and try to get as many offers as you can. Even if you accept an offer, if you are close to the finish line with another company - try to close the deal. You might end up needing it. Also never tell them you are only interested in them, It gives them leverage if they do decide to offer you the job, but in general, it can be appealing if they know other companies are showing interest in a candidate.
Sorry to hear that! It is hard finding a new job that is perfect these days. Just keep trying and know that you are not alone. Something better may come up!!
I’ve had 4 signed offer letters rescinded in the last 6 months nothing to do with me, they just aren’t hiring for climate positions until after the election.
It’s mindset breaking for sure, but use it as fuel to find the next better thing.
