I recently joined a new company for about a month, and I'm struggling to feel connected. I feel like the company isn't the right fit. I haven't been engaging with colleagues, and my work doesn't excite me. There are gaps in what I know and what they think I know, leading to miscommunication. I joined without any orientation effort. The company is pushing for a certain culture overseas, but it's not really the case in Singapore. Would I be foolish to leave without an offer? I do dread work now.

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
