I referred an old coworker of mine to my current company and I received a referral bonus. He started this week and just now asked me if I will give him any of the bonus. I would have been fine with that if we discussed it during his interview process, but we never did. I feel like since we didn’t establish that he would get any beforehand, it seems unfair that he’s asking for something now. He even received a nice signing bonus. Thoughts on whether I should split the referral bonus?

I started working for a bank and am going through the background check. They found an arrest which was dismissed and the file was sealed a few days after the check. They’re requesting the police report on top of the court order to seal. The police report is BAD. During the arrest (DUI) they wrote the report to make me seem like a complete lunatic. Embellished on several elements of the case. I am worried that giving them this report will cause me to be let go.
