Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?
Hello Fishes, I'm in my NP and lwd is sep 19th. I gave technical round for Accenture last week. It's cleared and same is reflected in Accenture portal. Even HR called and discussed about salary and offer negotiations. I agreed to the amount that she said. After that she told that i will have to attend a final Managerial round. But still she hasn't arranged it. When asked about it today, she said that she is looking for a interview slot with panelist. Anyone know what's happening in this case? Acce

Nice! You work at PwC?
Senior consultAnt 1 are you still at pwc? Lol

Ahhhh, look at you! Making it to “almost manager” is incredible, these 2 1/2 years have been very incredible for the firm as well. Next stop, Partner 👍

It wasn’t negative OP, it was a joke. I was teasing you about your incredible optimism and I truly hope you keep that optimism. I didn’t, and 1,000 other people here didn’t, but I’m sure you can. You got this!
For a second I thought I opened up Linked In!

Gotta fight off the negativity around here. Who else wants these hands? 💥

I’ll take some hands 🙌
Don’t be bothered by morons who take the time to negatively comment on posts. They clearly don’t have much going for them. Be proud of yourself and congrats!
I remember trying to get some temp work in the summer before university, and the recruiter chewed my ar$e over how bad some of my grades were. It impacted my confidence for quite some time, but it was all nonsense - got a good degree and have had a successful career so far. People should be more careful with their words, particularly towards those people at the start of their career journeys.

Love this
I still remember when I was in school and went to the campus job fair, there was this RSM guy gave me the coldest stare ever while I was talking to him and smiling, trying to be friendly and make a good impression. Not sure what the guys problem is, but luckily I got into B4. Still remember that guy to this day.
Not you, was staring at that girl behind you
Assistant to the regional manager vibes
I’ve been there too. I couldn’t get any interviews out of school and now the firms all want to talk to me
I couldn’t get interviews with any of the large accounting firms even though I graduated magna cum laude from a prestigious university, but now I’m one of the top subject matter experts in the country at PwC National Tax.
P6 - Haha, not my area of expertise
I had a similar experience where BakerTilly told me I wasn’t good enough and I was feeling really down when I graduated and a lot of people I was friends with in the accounting program went to work there. My first years out of school I always felt looked down on because I ended up at an industry job, but now I work for EY and I’m pretty proud of myself for getting to this point.
I don’t speak to any of those people anymore lol and I moved to a different city. Definitely all worked out for the better in the end
Public accounting is fascinating. People (myself included) get rejected from countless firms out of school and then once u get like 2 yrs experience they suddenly all want to hire u
Happy for you OP, I have a similar feeling albeit from a slightly different angle. I couldn’t even get past first round interviews at any big 4 in undergrad, now their recruiters are beating down my door on LinkedIn. No thank you, I’m living it up in industry now after time spent at a midsize firm.
I had recruiters tell me I was barely good enough for hourly contract work and now I’m up for Partner. Don’t underestimate the underdog!
Just got offer from two of big 4
Still shows that hard work and persistence will pay off in this country.
Good for you - Keep going
U go bro 🥲
Yup. Feels pretty crappy at the moment, but now feels like a dodged bullet.
I was laughed at by a recruiter during a campus hiring event for asking about consulting path. Guy said I'd need to bring years of experience before they'd even consider me. Not sure why they had that as part of the available position at such event then.
I'm thinking sometimes they (recruiter) just don't want to be there and forget that it's no one's but their own fault if they don't like what they do.
