I see a lot of people online or LinkedIn who brag about thay they worked in JP or MS in investment banking but now they doing some weird job like making videos on YouTube. I don't understand why wouldn't they continue their career in finance?

I joined an agency about 2 months ago and every single day I get more responsibilities, to the point that I don't even know what my actual job title is. I'm frustrated, to say the least.

I just received an offer to lateral into banking. How does independence affect the stocks I currently own? If I join and my stocks are on a restricted list will I have to sell them? Or will I be limited to being unable to buy more/sell any during the course of my employment.

I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role.
