I started a remote job a few months back. I received a nice pay bump and more flexibility. The job is super chill and work load is light. I’m extremely grateful given the current job market today. However, I feel like I’m not grinding hard enough. I’m in my early 30s and would like to capitalize on this flexibility and find a secondary income? Any advice on jobs with good flexibility or manageable passive income? Also any advice on how to keep employers from knowing you have 2 jobs? Thanks

+1 for enjoying it. Are you happy? That's all that matters. You don't NEED to grind harder just because you've got the time to do so. However, if that's truly what you want to do, I'd try to stack some freelance or contract work on top of your day job. No real set schedules so it shouldn't interfere with work and you can pick and choose what appeals to you. Easiest way to keep it from employers is by not saying anything to anyone, not opening anything side project related on your work laptop, and only working once you've signed off for the day, not during it. Do all that and no one will ever know.

Just enjoy it. I think if you’re comfortable with the paycheck, you don’t need to “grind” for more income. Maybe you’ll have more time for personal hobbies or something enriching.

like

Just keep in mind that it's a risk. A lot of people have gotten caught and lost both jobs. I would encourage you to do something in a completely different industry as well, to avoid any impropriety or accusations of contract violation. You could always start small, do something like customer service for an airline.

I’ve been ghosted after every final interview during my recent job search, but never had I been ghosted before even having the first call??
