I believe you can still go through an optometrist. NEVER buy them online - they have to be fit to your eye and can cause a lot of damage if they’re not tailored to your anatomy

Agree with this. Also brands like acuvue (which provides colored lens) require you to show your prescription prior to purchasing

If you’ve never worn contacts before, you’ll also need to learn how to put them in, clean them properly, and wear them in ways that cause the least risk to your eyes. That’s best done at an optometrist.
I think they probably have it online
I pay literally thousands to get prescription and color prescription contacts. I would do anything to be able to buy the non-rx ones online and don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I have contacts shipped in from Taiwan all the time and my eyes are fineeeeee
I used to work in the eye care field... Schedule a contact lens exam and your doctor can order them as "plano" aka no prescription.
Fyi they'll probably find a small prescription if you don't currently wear glasses / contact lenses (e.g. -0.25), so make sure you tell your Dr you want a plano prescription.
Lead, at a private practice, they're usually $125 - $150; and if you go to an eye chain like America's Best (I wouldn't suggest them! They're the worst!) you can probably get a contact lens exam for under $100. Wherever you go, make sure they give you a copy of your prescription. A lot of places try to keep them so you'll buy your contacts from them. Keeping your prescription is against the Optometry/Ophthalmology laws...but they try to get away with it.
