Hi Adidas colleagues, How much Hike I can expect in next pay review? I joined adidas this year on June 1st . I am on M4 level. CTC is 18LPA.
Total YEO will be 4 yrs 3 months by end of Dec.
I got M4 because they have only a slot of that position available that's why CTC is relevantaly bit low.

Some years back most of us were using using cash for our daily transactions and some other methods which were not very convienient and quick. Fast forward UPI came which is super easy, fast, secure, available to all, even small shops. Now imagine u need to return money to someone who is in different city and that person denies online money transfer wants only cash stating that "Before UPI you used to come and give cash only right so why not do the same"
Great example . Also,no matter how much it is justified, companies will call employees to office and we have to obey. They will obey to the govt pressure. Nd we poor employees have no other option
In my village everyone used to walk 3km daily to get drinking water from well ..one day people found there is poison at the bottom in the water so they stopped going there so all people decided to build a new well and got an idea about having pipeline connections to their home and now they were so comfrtable and having a good water at their home which saved their energy and time which they started investing in other productive work.after 2 years this old well owner came back and said now i have removed all poision please start taking water again... but no one is intrested now
except the owner and people who live very close to well 😂😂

Because some of us lost near ones, focus on health and mental being increased, we noticed work can be done from home.
Because before the pandemic we didnt get a chance to work from home. We didnt know long term wfh was possible at that time. Now that we have, there are so many benefits like saving on rent, staying with family, save commute time, we will lose these benefits if we start working from office.
Now options have open up, now people are rising from slave dynasty ....they think now they have more value hence they don't need to restrict themselves . They can look for better options or even nearby options so they don't have to relocate even if wfo starts.
This flexibility was not there before covid. WFH was there but not for everyone or not for longer periods. Why return to office when u can do the same work sitting at home away from office/city when u can do from your home town where cost of living is less compared to cities where there is no need of transportation/ commiting for hours to reach office on time in traffic in pollution. To to 9 hrs of work at office one need to travel on an average of 2-3 hrs up and down min where you create more pollution to the existing pollution and you get exposed to sun, pollution, traffic etc. Now you tell me which one is better? Pollution less wfh or pollution wfo?
Do you have any idea how many people have lost someone from their immediate family (parents, siblings, children) or atleast immediate relatives. If you haven't lost anyone you are lucky and possibly won't understand the pain. Because of what people have lost in covid, they are more likely to stick with their family.
In case of Wfh, number in the bank account increases in a way more higher rate than that in case of working from office. ( specially in case of metro cities). So people choose to work from home.
Before invention of wheel, every body were comfortable walking Miles together. Shall I ask you to come to office by walk? When things change we have to change.
ITS JUST SELF REALISATION !!
Most of us realised in isolation - whats purpose of our work and at one point what's the purpose of living in this way.
It's just the pandemic that changed our way of living and thinking: With meaning and priority attached to the employee's well being and life.
Also, if the same work can be done at home with much more producviry and mental peace, then why insisting to come to office? Most of the time is wasted in the commute!
Not all jobs can be performed at home, and some people may be productive at office. So its more welcoming if its optional rather than mandatory
Before covid , infra of the tech companies was not prepared to allow everyone working from home. Now the things are changed .. everyone got laptop, team collaboration on teams/slack is proven , no more vpn issues, quality of broadband have improved even in tier 2 and trier 3 cities . And above all, remote working is already proven to be more productive. Hence everyone should be given choice either to WFH or WFO . End of the day it is the productivity of the employee that's matter.
Well this post has been super popular, but I don't see a point to these discussions since we are all being dragged back to office locations and no one is saying anything to protest. Corporate slaves have no choice
Because it saves money!
And it doesn't hurt any company if employees work from home.
Somehow, everybody knows that WFH is possible & can be managed.
Why to force employees to come to office?
It should be a choice not ultimatum
The only inevitable things in life are death, taxes and WFO.
Once you were suffering with problems doesn't mean you should always suffer with problems
Very simple.. people realised that its actually not important where you are working from as far it gets done and it doesn't hurt business.. Too bad we needed a virus for this..
Some decades ago people used to travel via Cow cart...now we need motor vehicles and no body is ready to switch to old days........same for online shopping, online bill payments, etc.

Tier 1 cities are getting congested due to overpopulation and smaller cities are getting abandoned. Causing too much difficulties in surving in big cities. water problem, traffic problems, housing problem etc. and for this govt only focused on these big cities then smaller cities gets neglected for its infrastructure. logic is not that great but we need population diversity to avoid congestion

Why to take extra pressure of travelling, preparing lunch box, less time with family when I can give the same or even more output from home??
