I was fired from my last job (toxic, crumbling firm) with minimal warning, but was told it was due to work quality. Now, anytime something feels slightly off at my current firm, which I’ve been at for a year and a half, I can’t help but think it’s going to happen again. This is even despite receiving almost all positive feedback in my time there, with some isolated small critiques. How do I shake this?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years.
