Consider getting a therapist or a safe peer coach at work. Talking. Through the pros and cons may reveal the real reason behind your current mental struggle. Also consider if there are other stressors in your life that are effecting how you feel about work?
All of the above. Also, consider that part of your challenges in management may be your approach, i.e., finding clones of you. Teams are made up of more than one type of person to leverage the different strengths that individuals have. It sounds like you're focusing on what you define as high performers, but there are multiple ways to define that as well as have high potentials and B players that are important for different reasons. It may be worth chatting with your colleagues in HR long-term, but in the short term, it sounds like you need a break from managing. It's okay to just want to focus on the execution for a while and have more time (hopefully) for non work concerns.
