Program Manager L3 salary in HCOL?
Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.

Emily in Paris is so inspirational
lol this hurts my soul
If you don’t get an answer here then have a look on FB for the French Planners group:
Le Club des Planneurs Strategiques / leplanneur
There’s also the creatives in Europe bowl.
The old planner pay survey that Heather LeFevre used to run will probably give an idea of direct comparison, just with old numbers, but ratios are probably still the same.
Are you bilingual? Can you get a visa to live and work there? Maybe best to start with those questions.
I love all of these responses! My spouse is French, but I can only feel confident speaking English. Have the right to work in France, am permitted to do so. But hope I can make my way on my own
That’s a good start then—the biggest hurdle is not an issue for you. Go for it and best of luck to you!
Know you asked about Paris but thought this could be helpful to share. When I moved to London with my ad agency, my NY agency fought for me to keep the equivalent of my NY salary. Salaries in London were drastically less - I think I made ~20k more than my counterpart. Maybe a bit less than that. I also got relocation and a few other things. Most people lived outside of the city and commuted up to an hour each way. If possible, see if there’s an opportunity to move within your agency group or holding company.
I can confirm this. Have been up for positions in UK, but the pay is drastically lower while the cost of housing felt comparable to NY. And they're often less willing to sponsor visas than US companies are.
For a large international account / position can be same or even more than you might make at a national level US agency, but if it’s a local national only account, remember market size (for the brands you’re working on) is equivalent to a large US state… and partly because of that pay is much lower.
Same thing in the UK.
Why are you running away?
PA1, do you think of every big life change that someone chooses to do as “running away”? That’s a small minded perspective. Your life must be a dull and unadventurous one.
