The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Apologies in advance for the corny post...
Technically, no I don’t think you’d find that in the job description. However, a large part of this job is building a network of clients/superiors that would do the same thing for you. Remember, nobody is perfect and we all have our strengths and weaknesses.
If your senior manager is key to the conversation and you are facilitating the conversation it is your job to ensure that all the key stakeholders will be present at the meeting. It is not your job to manage her calendar for meetings you are not involved in.
She only has a right to be mad at herself.
She may have just been on mute
No. If she’s been constantly late, then it’s 100% her responsibility to be at meetings on time. I get the few off days where people lose track of time and need reminding, but she’s an adult and knows better
D1 sounds like that kinda manager
Def not your role but it looks bad when you're present but don't know where she is. Also looks like you're not a team or working well together. So IMO you should remind her prior to the meeting bc her bad time management shouldn't come back on you and you refusing to manage her calendar shouldn't harm your working relationship. cya to the fullest.
KPMG 1, I agree with you entirely, which is why I managed this for the first 7 or so calls. How long would you suggest I continue to do this? I did send her an email after making sure I hadn’t gotten the time wrong and asking if there was a miscommunication and/or a different time that worked. At the end of the email I also confirmed the time of our next call. Her response was that she’d been pulled onto another call and lost track of time and wished I would have sent a message. These things seem to happen often.
Rude and disrespectful. No place for that kind of bigtiming at any firm. Do not feel bad for her lack of common courtesy. Pulled into another call is a lame excuse to not tell someone that you are running late to their call (assuming you had something on the calendar and a reminder popped up)
Didn't I say D1 was that kinda manager? I mean, look at that last response. Zero decency to let your subordinates know you can't make a meeting / excuse to be late or miss meetings because you know, they're just not that important.
You could say something along the lines of, you seem extremely busy since you have a hard time making these mtgs. Is there a time/day that works better?
No
No
No. Not in any conceivable way.
Well it was not your responsibility until you sent that email. Now that she said to message her it is your responsibility
Deloitte 1, I disagree that it’s my job to manage her calendar and organizational process.
No
D1 if a manager tells you to pick her up coffee is it suddenly part of your job now?
OP, are most of the calls she’s missing internal only or does this also include client meetings?
My partner is guilty of this too. Drives me insane and I’m really getting annoyed by it. Especially for when he or she is late on late night calls. We all have a million things to d o.
