I worked as a pastry chef for 5 years then I left my last kitchen job just before COVID. Ended up in a work from home administrative director position where I have gained a lot of experience.

I miss the restaurant/hospitality industry but don’t want to go back to working an unbalanced lifestyle in the kitchen. I’m still very passionate about food but don’t know where to go from here. I’ve considered restaurant consulting but still feel stuck on branching out. Thoughts? Recommendations?

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.

I've been following Coforge LinkedIn page, and I have decent offer from them. In one call HR said we will be moving towards 5 days work from Office, to which I said I don't mind. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.
