McKinsey & Company How likely is McKinsey to rescind an offer if there's a recession/downturn before my start date? Received an Associate offer with a start date early in the Fall. But I'm worried about the offer being rescinded due to the ongoing McK scandals/issues and a potential recession in the making (which may prompt them to freeze hiring and/or renege offers).
Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Take company 2, why is this even a question?
You’re right, I misread that. I guess it depends how much you want to work for company 1, and if you’re willing to sacrifice the 10K for it.
Take Company 1. In the grand scheme of things 10K is not a lot.
Fair warning, higher base means higher point to negotiate upon exit as well. But, go where the experience is better always.
Experience > Comp > Culture, for early levels (beginning 7-8 years of your career)
You can tell them about company 2’s offer and ask whether there’s any wiggle room to match. That’s what I did last year when leaving for industry. Managed to get a match.
Why not ask Company 1 to come up? They probably will. Even if you get them to split the baby, you get to work for the company you want and for not that much less.
