If I’m applying to positions in tech, should I use a more modern looking template resume? Currently using the template outlined by my business college. It’s clean but not sure if I should update it to match a forward vibe of the tech world. Coming from public accounting, seems like everyone’s resume looked the same.

Depends what job you’re applying for. If it’s still accounting/finance, good chance the people reviewing your resume are going to be public accounting alumni. Stick with the professional boring format. If you were applying to marketing roles, my advice might be different.

Hi Fishes,

I am looking for the job change in ServiceNow profile and having a experience of 4+ yrs.

Currently I am trying to create network in linked in and naukari but still not getting the response from some companies like JP Morgan or mindtree etc.

Can u help me to understand what is the best way to create a network to some major companies.

I know applying directly to the company site mostly doesn't have any benefit or will take long time to schedule the interview.

Recruiter shared post on-site feedback and she mentioned that she would like to do the team match and do 1-2 additional rounds of interviews because the feedbacks now are borderline and have a very low chance of HC. Any team here who's hiring SAP Program Manager role? Please kindly keep in contact with me :)

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.
