McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!
Did anyone watch the debate tonight
It was foretold in the ancient murals

You can do it, just don't ask all of the soapbox prophets on FishBowl lol.
Has anyone done this? Pretty sure I could avoid projects for at least two months.
Debating the same thing - Use the time to look for other jobs. Or will I get assigned to an awful project?
This is pretty unethical. I wouldn't wanna work with you if you are being serious.
Tax situation wouldn't be a problem.. government just cares that you pay taxes for all income. They don't care if you work one job or 10
I've heard of this being done. If anyone finds out you will burn any bridges into a small pile of forever flaming bridge bits... but apparently it's been done.
And u think that you are ethical ? You work for a company that tricks and over charges its clients for the work being performed by on shore resources and turns around then gets it cheaply done in PDC and IDC for a fraction of the cost and then pockets the difference when the client could have been offered a lower price, a company that makes eligible OT employees work 60-70 hours and only charge 40, a company that overcomplicates its clients problems in order to confuse them into buying services, a company that lies in order to win a project, a company that gets sued left and right for its ethics and u question ethics. All of us are in on this scheme whether you want to accept it or not
Hmmmmmm
How would the multiple W2 and tax situation work?
That depends if you tell anyone. Dont tell anyone.
You can make it happen. Don't listen to these fake saints.
*there my spelling today has been shocking!
Ok, apart from whatAaccenture would/should do if/when they find out. What would the hiring organization do? If I hired someone and found they were doing that (and with a business partner no less) I'd fire them.
PREACH A4!!!!
Think contracts/offers would prevent you from working 2 jobs, especially if a competitor/client is involved. When ppl are checked out they usually "work to the norm", do the bare minimum
What job could you take where there would be no conflict. If they took you to court what would say to defend yourself. If you were the other company and had an employee doing what you're suggesting would you keep them on? Theoretically this could work out but I suspect the odds would be against you.
I haven't reread my contract, but common sense perhaps?
I know someone doing this currently (working for a client in a comparable role but as a contractor) - I would be very careful, they haven't been caught yet but when they are the penalties will be severe (legal action).
My contract specifically calls it out as prohibited.
They haven't worked their as an Accenture resource, and has not told the client that they are still employed by Accenture
Look bottom line is that U have a high probability of getting away with it. Small chance of them saying something and making you pay back some money but much better chance of winning. Take the chance you have no real consequences legally
