If things are slow at the client and I work less than 45 hrs a week - do we still 'charge what you work' and record less than 45 hrs for the week? (I'm an analyst)

You bill the full amount to make up for the fact that when you end up doing 100 hour weeks you can find solace in the fact that you billed hours you didn't work to make up for not billing hours you did work. Then you go buy a nice bottle of brandy and start working on bschool apps.

Haha ok thanks D2. This has never been a problem before so appreciate the realness 👍🏼

If your feet at at the client site you bill, if the client hasn't given you enough work to do it's their problem. Also don't discount the act of doing nothing, talking to the client taking a break to step away from the issue its all as valuable as sitting at your computer and building a deck.

Firm policy is bill what you work

like

Bill what you work- it provides a nice buffer to get credit for those weeks you work 50+

like

Were you at the client all day?

Yeah I'm here the full day but the days have been shorter than usual (e.g leaving around 5-6)

Hello Folks,
Can you pls advise on which company to go for.
R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon.
CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.
YOE ~8
Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure

Thanks

Hello friends,
I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own. There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

Okay finance lawyers. I don't understand this issue. Client says books show we're highly profitable but we have no way to pay our tax liability.... Well where the hell did tbe money go ? Client also claims that they are only taking a small portion of the revenue as profit. I don't understand how your books can be different than reality.

One of the company asked if i could join as early as in 1.5/2 months where I have 3 months NP and haven't put papers yet .. i asked one of my senior in my team about this who's already resigning...and she has told about this to the entire team 😶. I realise it's my mistake asking her :p
Now that I'm not hearing back from the company which I gave interview and my environment at current project is a mess atm...Should I just put papers or bear with it till I fine another one..??

I recently joined Capgemini at 13.5 LPA along with 1 lakh as joining bonus. It was a jump from 6.5 and I have 4 YOE with 2 yrs in React JS
Two questions that's been bothering me -

Did I settle for less as I can see people taking even bigger jumps with less experience?

My joining date was 15 September, so am I eligible for upcoming appraisal as the annual review is due by October 14 and I have just joined a project?

Please share your insights as I have looked for advice everywhere else.

Eyeing an open spot as a Senior Manager GPS Contracts DOD Sub-Sector Lead. What would be the anticipated compensation (base + bonus%?) for this role? I imagine it’s an internal (non-client facing) role within the larger GPS division. Currently have 14+YOE of specialized DOD contracting experience to include supervisory experience. TIA

I’m having trouble working in Tax. I’m overwhelmed and am feeling like I’m not producing my best work. I want to talk to someone at work about it but a) I don’t know who to go to and b) feel like it’s not worth it because there’s nothing that anyone can do but tell me to get a different job. I feel like I SHOULD say something to someone though, right? Idk. I’ve been on the job hunt for a while now and am not really having any luck, which is just adding to my despair. What should I do?
