If you could change one thing about your company what would it be? For me I think it would be changing the way raises are decided. Would love if supervisors had some control of that process. Instead it’s currently based on my performance assessment but supervisors get no say in the actual value of the raises

Raises and bonuses should be from the bottom up not the top down. But then your expecting people who have the say in it not to pay themselves first

Yeah agreed

We have had a lot of downsizing the past few years, of the work force, but no downsizing when it comes to projects or what is expected. It has been a lot of us stretched thin and it would be nice if the company saw and changed this. A lot of places are going through this and will suffer long term for these short term gains.

We’ve definitely seen the same at my work. Crazy times

I've been working remotely and I'd like to see some kind of assurance that our remote arrangements will continue. I keep feeling like the trend is very much against remote work, and I'm always apprehensive that everyone will eventually be forced to return to the office. I get the sense that the company doesn't want to make any guarantees, which I can understand from their perspective. But I'm tired of worrying about that.

Very understandable that’d be a tough change

My company has an archaic PTO policy! It's so restrictive and requires a ton of pre-planning and I really hate it. I wish that they would adopt a more tech-company ethos around PTO and realize that when you're employees are rested/balanced, they perform a lot better

I think that’s a great idea

For me I think there should be somewhat an age limit on the upper management executives, hearing them speak sometimes and the incoherent points they’re making just makes me feel like they’re not fully there and it’s time to hang it up and retire and let new leadership with more relevant experience in this day in age take over.

I would like people to be accountable and have them make decisions. Having meeting after meeting where an issue is discussed but no plans are ever made is a true waste of everyone's time and efforts.

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Cost of living and hours requirement slightly lower in MN, but nowhere near 40%! Are there any options that would not result in a drastic pay cut?

Hi all, negotiating with HR on salary for a new AS position and want to know what’s fair. I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. All of my agencies have been large, I’ve worked on pharma and a large global account, I also started “managing” at the AE level due to my team’s structure. Is $80k fair? Thanks!
