Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
How much should I ask for for an Art Sup role?

Kinda sounds like you dodged a horrible job. 👏
Let it go. It’s a small industry. Calling them out gets you nothing but short term satisfaction, but you never know when you’ll come across these people again. Not worth it. There’s no real gain for you.
Keep the door open...you never know what politics are at play behind the scenes and when another opportunity with these folks may come up again.
Send em an email thanking them for their time and opportunity to interview and let them know they can feel free to reach out to you if they ever need anything in the future.
You’d be surprised how far a short and sweet note like that will go. If the new hire doesn’t work out, that may put you in the next best spot...
Should I let go?
Hi
Call with EP:
EP seems really uninterested and spends 20 min talking about what she needs and doesn't ask me about my projects. I try to give as much info as I can but she seems uninterested which is a bummer because from what I know and what she is saying my background seems like a perfect match.
I end up feeling like it was a waste of my time because they seemed unopen to me from the get go.
NEXT I GET a "challnge". Challenge is stupid. Coordinator level easy.
Well day after HR asks for a third call. The third call is just to tell me they aren't interested.
So now I'm pissed. I feel dismissed and my time is wasted and they took no time to get to know me.
I am ok with not getting an offer but i am pissed about how I was treated.
Where was this?
I don't want to share where... it was client side.
If you ask for a reason they probably won’t tell you and you’ll look bush league.
Ask for feedback. Don’t make it confrontational. If you make them feel like you’re genuinely interested in learning and improving (whether that’s true or not) they’re far more likely to give you insight. If you challenge them, they’re more likely to shut down.
Thanks everyone. Yes I am seeing it was probably not a good fit for me and I know the answer is to let it go.
