Any layoff expected in bny ?
I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

Hi All, My Junior has decided to put paper, as she wanted to pursue Cdac course from Sept-22. She just informed that she signed a bond of 2 years and currently she has completed 1.7 years in HCL. What should she do now? Results is on 10-aug and she decided to put paper on that day itself (Earlier she told the same to Sr. manager) Kindly suggest if any action would be taken by HCL OR No experience letter would be shared with her. All I can say is WOW. Pretty serious offense, regardless of magnitude. Not sure OP seems remorseful enough or has grasped the magnitude if s/he is asking about "if the firm will forget in a bit". Nuts.
HR makes a check for any prior violations. I've ensured that they are especially diligent as it appears there's someone trying to bluff their way into a rehire. I've reached out to a couple of colleagues in non-Partnership firms and alerted them to this. They're following up with their HR.
Someone got fired and now they're trying to falsify their way back in. Speaks to integrity, fidelity and voracity. I don't want someone with a compromised ethical compass in a firm that I'm an owner of. It's that simple.

"Laid off" != "fired for cause"
I assume your firm's HR system crosses all LOS's. Usually being let go for cause means that you are not eligible for rehire.

We even remember when you are an alumni. I recently put a guy who made a mistake in 1998 on a dinner list and someone raised it. I said I am reading to get past the strip club thing in 98.
He had joined another firm, made it to partner, been a partner at another firm for a while and was in an alternative career by then.
