I had final techno manager round which was completed on 30 Mar, and after ugadi holiday, on 6th I have received the positive feedback and confirmation mail and asked to share the payslips and relevant documents. @AD3: if that’s the case, I’m 110% on board. The SVP statement was a bit too broad and I’m already salty for some stuff that some juniors did, so both things didn’t go well together hehe
My first year as a CD I got a bonus. I was totally surprised. Then I asked if any of my teams got them, they said no. So I gave my best team 500 cash each. The CCO found out and called me into his office uncomfortably upset, saying I should have let the agency give them the money, so it didn’t come out of my bonus. But after reflecting on it a bit I think he was mad about the optics.
I’ve done this too. And the company was also pissed about it. Would rather have the company pissed at me than my team not feeling valued and leaving.

Everyone got a $500 bonus. This is the second time it’s happened at the agency in the last six months. They also did it in late summer, as a thank you for people really cranking in campaign work.
I'll take the party and drink about 500 worth of booze to stick it to them

Bonus. But we all know the bonuses are going into the wrong people’s pockets at every agency and holding company worldwide.
It’s like the recent tax cut.
Reality is the bonus pool is far bigger than the party budget. The bonuses are distributed to senior leaders ... I’d fo for the party, it’ll be fun and $200 bucks won’t exactly change the attitude of people. If anything it’ll frustrate people

We get both. Everybody got a solid bonus this year and we have a holiday party that is actually fun
