One such entry on a CV could be forgivable if there's a good story & reason behind it. But multiple instances represent a pattern of behavior that would concern me.
It depends if you are able to explain why you made the moved you did satisfactorily
I've been thinking about going back to Japan to teach English to get more in touch with my heritage but also partly looking to get out this project
I wouldn’t ”look down upon it”, I just wouldn’t hire the person. It’s nothing personal, but finding talent is a ton of work. If I hire someone I want to believe they will be here for at least 3 years.
Yea, and if it doesn’t work out and you circle back, stick around for a few years.
If it’s just the last job, I’d just want to know why. If it’s habitual, it’s a red flag.
I was talking to a friend in HR and basically everything is a red flag in her eyes. If they left too soon, they’ll do it again. If they haven’t moved in a while, why are they suddenly trying to move, and will they be able to adjust? If they quit a job without another lined up, that means they have the means to walk away because they’re bored-can’t have that.
I’m sick of this nonsense. Doing it once shouldn’t be an issue. Doing it multiple times- definitely.
Also, I think moving around within consulting firms can be explained much more easily. It's different than hopping around industry jobs.
It’s a good opportunity for you to ask them why
For me to ask who why?
