So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?

It took me 5 weeks. Good luck buddy. Just do your best. Don’t base what gonna happen with you off of others failures or successes.

7 months. Just started the new one on Thursday. Don't give up, and keep mass applying! You can do this.

Great News!
I was laid off last July and still looking for work. It may be in my head, but it appears there are positions out there that are really not open. It is exhausting and not understanding why it has been such a challenge this time.
13 months and counting after my last job had their funds cut by $1B. Had a few interviews but they are rare due to the lean job market. I hear this is the "No hire, no fire" economy and I can believe it!

There's a whole lotta firing going on, which is contributing to the no hiring.
It took me 18 months, but I don't work in tech and my layoff was only indirectly related to tech. I worked in marketing and have made a career change to something more stable.
