Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.
YOE: 2 years

As a business analyst I don’t see severance in your future. What are the signs you’re getting coached out this early?
It is always nice to check with job market so you will know your value. Severance is not that important unless you have a long tenure. Try to get an offer with more money - severance is not that important in that case.
Your job hunting goes much better of you are employed. That alone is worth the trade off in severance that you would get
Severance is for Layoffs not out counciling
Yeah severance is based on years in the company so no use of it really unless it's at least 3-4 years. And even then they can come up with many legal reasons why you're not eligible for severance. I definitely know ppl who transitioned to another part of the company and doing great there, especially since the salary differential isn't much at the analyst level. If not, hope your next adventure is better. Many of us have been there before and lived thru it just fine
If you are fired for bad performance, I’m not sure you get severance....
Go on your own terms. There is no severance if you are counselled our.
