If you're on website time (so technically "employed" and your firm has cut off your network access, how are you supposed to fill out a conflicts form?

Can you reach out to HR or the PD manager for your group to request a list of matters and parties? They should *want* you to find a job, so should try to do what is needed to help you succeed in your search. If you're at a big firm, I'm sure this has come up before and there is a process for assisting.

You can reach out to your conflicts department/HR. This is part of the separation process and they’re prepared to help you out with it. I know because I went through this process and reached out to my conflicts department when it came time to clear conflicts. They have a list of matters you’ve billed to.

How about you just fill in whatever tf comes to mind that isn’t a conflict so you can just start your new job, since the entire thing is an unverifiable formality that doesn’t f*cking matter?

like

Related question - is the firm that one is lateraling to able to tell from the conflicts form that one is on website time (hasn't done work for a few months)?

Mine required listing only the matters I’ve billed to for the last three years and the date ranges. I fibbed a few of the last ones.

When BigLaw attorneys interview students, how soon afterward do they give feedback? What kind of feedback do you give as an interviewer at your firm (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, thumbs up, thumbs down, veto)? Does everyone get in a room or do you just submit the forms to one hiring partner, and/or to a black box? If you don't click with the student, what would make you still give them a thumbs up? Sorry if my questions are a little neurotic... !

Struggling to get work at a free market firm after lateraling. I was very well liked at my prior firm and had high hours so really struggling to understand why folks don’t seem to want to come back to me with more work. For those at free market firms, how frequently do you have to ask for work? How do you typically ask? Just send partners emails asking if they have any deals for you? Thanks y’all.
