Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

Relax and enjoy your time off. Just document your efforts to get staffed so you have something to show at year end if they question your utilization (which they likely won’t for a first year).
Bruh, I basically sat in my basement playing league of legends for an entire year. Ended up with a super low utilization and got promoted. You’ll be 👌🏼 😂😂
U're fine chill fam
Analysts at Accenture are no longer evaluated at an individual chargeability level anymore (unless you’re Strategy). It’s really on your TFS to find your first role, so sit back, relax, and you’ll have a project soon.
Just count your blessings you're not at IBM. Here they are laying people off who are on the bench for more than 3 weeks, even though like everyone says, it's not their fault.
OP, I'm in Austin too... Also on the bench. It sucks. Hopefully we will get more work soon. I don't understand why they keep hiring more analysts just for us to sit in the bench... It's nerve wracking.
You are fine, as shared in earlier post, keep trying to learn new things, take some self study training etc .....what office are you out of?
Austin!
^no not at all M2. In order to be forced out you have to be really not doing anything. We give you several chances. Big 4 would dump someone for “performance” where we give them a 2 week “find a project or else” notice
BA1 if I don’t get promoted now imma be hot
Relax. I didn't get on my first project for 6 months.
When you do get your opportunity, seize it! Ended up moving to Google after a few years.
If you have a pool work on your tan (in between checking email/taking training and looking for roles)
Try to get on some bd or white paper work. It’s really bad management from your leaders. But as the others say. Enjoy it! Maybe pick up a side gig
You're fine... be proactive in finding work, building relationships, etc.
I’m in Dallas on the Personalization team. I know we recently acquired Clearhead in ATX, so see if you can go into their office and network a bit (if that’s your area of interest, of course)
I have seen several people reach out to their analyst school instructors to get roles. Try that if you haven't already, they may connect you with the right people!
ACN15 took me a month in 2016 to climb from gold to diamond. So if that’s why you did then we’re probably the same person.
Enjoy it... I was on the bench for 7 business days when I started, that was 7 years ago and I haven’t been back. What I wouldn’t do for a break
Keep letting people know that you are available and interested in getting on a project. At the same time find some relevant things to learn and study like hell. It's likely that you will have fewer opportunities for bench time in the future.
Wish I took advantage of my 2 months on the bench when I first joined my firm
I was hire for a particular skill on a particular project that had to start 2 days after my interview. I joined, and played Call of Duty for a month waiting for the necessary prerequisites to come in.
@OP Austin has very few local projects and out of state projects never respond to emails I know what you mean
