Do national firms take PI cases with chiro only damages (assuming no other injuries since you didn’t mention ER/ambulance)? My guess would be no. This sounds like a very minimal accident and probably a very small settlement.
Just keep in mind that the attorneys recommended by the doctor are likely just the attorneys who wine/dine/drop off a plant at Christmas. He or she probably has no idea whether they are actually good attorneys.
the accident happened on Tuesday, went to Chiro for consultation on Wednesday, and Chiro went over consultation results on Friday. He's referring me to a neuro doctor and doing mri scans. I don't want to get into all the details of my injuries and I get I didn't immediately require surgery or anything like that. I'm not expecting some major pay day, but I genuinely am hurt and at least want medical costs covered. I wouldn't be pursuing this as I know how ugly PI can get

I routinely take cases like this

What's your end goal? Do you just want your medical bills paid and maybe a little extra on top? Or do you want a substantial amount after bills? If you just want to get your costs covered plus a little, I'd deal with the insurance company directly. You would more than likely get what you're looking for without having to cut in an attorney.
This probably depends on what the neuro & MRI says. If your injury will resolve fairly quickly with conservative treatment, handle the claim with the insurance company - send the adjuster copies of every record and bill. If you need more treatment, procedures, etc., or if your doctor can say you have permanent effects, then bring in a PI attorney.
Was the accident your Uber driver's fault?
Google top rated law firms in your area. You don’t have to go to National firm. Usually, the smaller ones are better because they are more interactive and walk you through the whole process.
Hire a boutique PI firm that litigates.
I actually worked for Morgan and Morgan and while they are awful to work for they do take care of their clients. That being said in my experience I would recommend going with a smaller firm that specializes in these kinds of cases.
I'm in socal if that's relevant
I worked for a very large PI firm in Ohio. If an insurer saw our firms and a particular chiro on a case together they would be more stingy in negotiations. So idk that having this established relationship necessarily helps your case if you’re looking to maximize the value.
@attorney2 is correct. They’ll negotiate the bill. The flip side may be, but not certainly, that they’ll over inflate it too
I’m in SoCal. Who did the Chiro recommend?
You better be careful - the attorneys that represent Uber and Lyft might be in this chat right now 😉
