Im a Project Coordinator with about 4 years under my belt supporting strategic projects. Im trying to get in the technical project management space and wanted to know besides the PMP, what skills should i focus on acquiring. Im trying to add more technical skills to my experience.

I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. I know one of the partners at the local firm and have the support of the regional service line lead, and am bringing a specialized skill set they are trying to open a new business around. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. Anything I might have missed?

From a career progression standpoint how does this look Associate Analyst-> Consultant-> Senior Analyst? I’ve had 3 Jobs in 3 YOE and have accepted a Sr Analyst job in industry at a Fortune 50 in Corporate Strategy. Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
