Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. I’m most familiar with 1 as it’s the audience I work with at current job. Not enough info/experience with other 2 segments. Remaining segments I know enough but not as confidently.

Will it look like I took the easy way out if I chose my segment? They know it’s my current audience and has been for 8 yrs. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.

How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons.
