I’m an agent considering law school. I would only do it if I can make it work part time. My firm is willing to let me go reduced hours during law school. For anyone who has been through this, what billable model seems reasonable while balancing law school?

1500 is fairly standard. Also will your firm be covering the tuition?

like

What area are you in? In some major areas (Boston, DC), it’s more or less market standard to be able to get tuition covered

like

Just be careful. I was able to easily bill 1650 or so while doing great in school at one firm, and worked an insane amount of time to hit 1440 and barely get readings done at another. Both were great experience but I'm glad I didn't start out at the second firm and could focus more on school while at the easier place. The easier place paid $20k/yr for tuition and the second place paid full tuition.

like

They don't have a program in place? I saw 75% time/full pay for night school; 50% time/50% pay for day school. Whether or not you could work more than that (which some/many do) depends on your pain tolerance for long nights and middle grades. Was able to do more after my first year of law school than during.

So I have few question( Please answer these questions are asked by most of the freshies)
1) After document submission , How much time do they take to release offer letter for freshers ? Its been month for me not received till now
2) How is growth opportunities for fresher member technical.
3) Is there any relocation reimbursement (or any other benefits)
4)Is there free food available
5) will they give macbook to fresher or which laptop

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

As a law student interested in going into the field I’ve seen a lot of negative comments saying that only lawyers who couldn’t get into big law go into PA. Although I know most people try to get into big law initially, it is very competitive and many don’t stay past 2-3 years. You certainly don’t make as much going into PA as a lawyer but the pay is certainly not bad and the WLB is generally much better. Can anyone speak to how they got into PA and if you would rather be working in Big Law

Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?
