I’m at a mm TAS firm and I would like to understand the career opportunities available to me. wlb isn’t a high priority for me right now so I want to maximize earning potential. From what I’ve read it seems like IB, Private credit, PE and A&M are generally the best ways to maximize long term earning potential. Is it possible for me to get these roles in a few years from my current position or would I have to lateral to big4 or pursue an mba? Any other options to consider?

I’ve noticed on Glassdoor, salaries for my level (Director) are higher than my base but have similar bonus opportunity. At what level of pay gap would you push or make a stink? In hindsight I should have pushed more during the hiring process. At 160k base now, seeing ranges in the 170s to low 180s. These are specific to my current company.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.
