I’m coaching a junior member of the team now and he often asks this kind of questions that drives me crazy: Should I put the same thing as last year in the WP? Is it all the same as last year? Last year they had this evidence but we don’t have this year, is it okay? I did explain the whole testing principles and logic, so why am I still getting this type of lazy questions?

Hi all. Today is one of those days where I am just really tired of proving myself. I'm a woman POC and the only brown person at my small firm. Owners are subtly racist and the men often treat me like their assistant. I also make a lot less than the male junior even though I have more YOE than him. Days like this really make me want to stop being a lawyer. I don't think I will ever find a firm where I am not treated this way.

What to do when you have a crush on your team lead?

My coworkers & I have a group chat. Fairly often, we do some griping about work. We also have fun convos, share dog pics, etc. Sometimes though, you just want to commiserate. One coworker frequently comments about how it could be worse, stay positive, her prior job was so much worse, etc. One of us had called her out twice. She’s cool otherwise (except for a need to educate people unnecessarily on a semi regular basis) but this is really souring my desire to maintain a relationship w her.

The hostility on my team is rough. We have a yeller. I walked by her room the other day. She was screaming across the room at a student, "you have to be kind to get kindness." Seriously, those were her words in a loud, berating, angry tone. Our admin has asked that we not report these. We are to talk to the teacher. She has yelled at me and other adults. Admin has to know she treats the kids this way too. One teacher has to work with her door closed to not hear the yelling all day.

Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). My client uses dashboards to monitor higher risk changes in real time. It is not intended to “monitor or capture “ all changes. I think this is incompetence on the part of the assessment team
