I’m considering starting to study for the audit section of the exam since it will be changing in July. Is it not worth trying to cram everything into the next month and taking it by the end of June? Or should I just wait until July to start studying? I feel pretty comfortable that I could do well on audit even with limited time, however I’m worried I’ll end up wasting $300 on an exam attempt for no reason

If you’re serious and willing to put the time in then cram mcqs for it. Might as well take it while it’s easy

like

Yep just get it done!

like

I didn’t study more than 6 weeks for any exam. Totally doable for audit if you’re willing to sacrifice free time to get it done.

like

You have plenty of time. I say go for it.

You got plenty of time, you can do this! It’s just a test of how disciplined you are studying.

Thanks everyone!! I should add- I’m confident in my ability to do well on audit with studying, but I definitely am not disciplined when it comes to studying and never really built good study habits, so this is what I’m most concerned about

I will say that it does not get easier as you go. I recommend you bite the bullet, commit to a sucky month or two of studying, and knock it out. You’ll be so glad you did.

you can do it I just finished 6 chapters in 2 weeks cramming McQs and my exam is 2 weeks away

This was for AUD

I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into copywriting as something to soon the side but I have no experience doing it. What steps should I take (books to read, gigs to start with or pursue, etc) if I want to go from $0 and next to ) experience to $40k or so a year?

Right now I’m currently unemployed and taking a break from my fine art stuff to try to get back into tech sales, but I was looking to expand my skill set and also generate extra money at the same time.

Hi all,
Need an advice. I am confused between doing masters or learn tech stack and increase experience and salary.
*My primary goal is to earn more.*
If masters I have to do in US or UK, so GRE, GMAT.
If for learning and tech experience I can learn tech stacks.
But I am confused between this.
Could you please tell or suggest what would be a better choice? Is doing masters in US or UK is a better ROI or be in India and gain exp and earn more by switching?
Currently I am a Java developer.
TIA

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

any insight into how a pmm skillset is different from a brand strategist one? of course the pmm applies insights to and influences the product, but it seems like a lot of the core elements - research, understanding the user, generating insights, developing messaging and angles to speak to them, etc are super similar. interested in transitioning and I want to understand where my gaps are!

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

I’m a junior and I have the opportunity to join the employment and benefits group as a specialist. The alternative is VC/M&A.

I’m under the impression that joining the EB group will still give me decent exit ops, has more manageable workflow (less unexpected dumpster fires like in deal-work), and a somewhat better WLB because of my previous point.

Any disagreement/any other things I should consider before deciding?
