Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

We loved the Kilbeggan Distillery (not that far from Tullamore actually) and that was in 2010, so I think their whole operation is more polished now. Try some Greenore as well - it's hard to get in the states, so if you like it bring home some bottles
There’s not much distillery culture in Ireland because the industry collapsed and consolidated in the 80s-90s. The big distillers will have the fairly generic and polished touristy tasting rooms and generic tour. Worth doing if you’ve never done a distillery tour or really care about a particular label. But otherwise they’re interchangeable with what you’d find in any whisky region around the world.
There’s a growing handful of small distillers that have popped up in the last decade. They’ll likely have much more intimate tasting rooms and distillery visits. That’s where I’d invest my time.
Check what Green Spot offers - they’d be a good bet IMHO. Similarly Dingle would probably be fun because it’s a tiny town on a remote and beautiful peninsula. Don’t waste your time with Knappauge - while tasty, they’re mostly just a label for marketing to the US and have nothing to do with the real castle they’ve licensed the name from.
Oh, I highly recommend Rick Steve’s travel book too. He’ll help you avoid the tourist traps and crowds.
Go to the Jameson and Teeling distilleries in Dublin. Tullamore is halfway between Dublin n Galway if you want to make a quick stop. I have heard good things about Powerscourt but have not been there. Also recommend going to Guinness store house in Dublin and if possible stay at the Shelbourne - the best hotel in Ireland with a rich history. The high tea at Shelbourne is great and very reasonable compared to the US. DM me if you want more details - happy to chat.
