I just started meds yesterday and the change in my focus and attention to detail is mind blowing. My only concern is, just yesterday I had a tough feedback session with my manager around how I’m taking too long to complete my work, giving them anxiety around close deadlines. I’m new in the job (3 months in). Should I explain anything about my adhd to my manager or just wait for them to notice the change in me?

I let the shame spiral get the better of me this week. Realized that I wasn’t going to be able to meet a deadline because I’d mismanaged my time and the project was more complex than I though. Rather than admit the mistake and suggest a new deadline, I just kept saying I’d send it tomorrow/later/so on. And then I stayed up basically three days straight working, which has only made me slower and more inefficient. So I’m still not done and now I’m in the pits of anxiety and exhaustion hell. FML.

I have recovered from Corona Virus. Its 6 weeks now and I can tell you that the after effects are real. I have anxiety that I will never get over the fatigue, brain fog, inability to form sentences and words and headaches which make my work days very difficult to get thru.

Grind my teeth a lot, have a mouth guard. Looking for other alternatives and apparently Botox is really effective.

Has anyone done this, and can you recommend someone in DC

Why is it that when the subject of pregnancy is brought up, people love to share their traumatic stories and the m- word (pregnancy loss). "Oh you know that m-s are so common.." like did I ask you?! That word is so triggering for me and I feel like it's etched into my brain like a tumor when someone says it to me. Anyone have recommendations on how to respond to comments like these? TIA!!

Anyone here struggle with drinking enough water every day? Growing up, I drank a lot of soda and fruit juices but since 2020, I’ve been trying to be one of those people who always has a water bottle. I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.
