Interviewing with a few companies and if I do get an offer, I will start in early January 2022. My wife and I are expecting our first child at the end of May. When would it be a good time to bring up that my wife is pregnant once I’m on a team? How long should I take off?

just say you are senior and you need to focus on the other tasks, and it doest make sense for you to be doing that much doc review from a client pov as well. im assuming though that if you are stuck dong that much doc review its for a reason (understaffing)

If you’re a senior why aren’t you delegating that work to a junior? It’s easier for those above you to ask you to do it than to integrate someone new for the junior-level work. That’s your role now.
Agree - unfortunately, that isn’t allowed for this doc review

Why has document review continued for so long and how much longer will it last?
Not understaffed - having to turn down other cases because of the doc review. I joined this case when I was junior, and while some of my work on this case is senior stuff, I still get asked to do the junior stuff (like doc review)

Id just frame it in terms of how you can't do the parts you are meant to be doing due to being bogged down in the doc review, so its hurting the case
Thanks!
Real question is what client is still paying for a senior associate to do doc review?! You need to delegate and ask for juniors for the case if a partner or the client asks for doc review work to be done
