Don’t do it. Experience is valued more.
You definitely do not need any sort of masters degree to progress to the top in media
Experience matters more. That being said an MBA might bring you more opportunities if you want to get in to a different field.
MBA if you definitely want to go client (brand) side, otherwise it's not necessary to move up
Don't do it from my experience. Survey positions you wanted to have in LinkedIn, see what those people in those position have.
At some point it’s about your experience and performance that will be the key driver of growth potential.
MBAs help some people but others not at all. The head of the whole media dept has an MBA but the dept heads do not. D Wills doesn’t have an MBA but his lieutenants mostly do. For client side it helps with some positions for marketing but not others
I would take on someone with demonstrated results and experience over someone with an MBA, any day. If you move overseas then an MBA can be very useful in the approval process, but not essential.
