I recently interviewed with VMWare and cleared all rounds. It was via a consulting firm. I got a confirmation that I am selected and HR will contact for offer discussion. However after sometime they called again and told me that HR has told that they will have offer discussion in January. Is it normal? I lead TA in an indian startup. Currently have an offer of HR head in another smaller startup. Also, I am getting few TA head offers in other startups. Comp would be similar in these roles.

Is it advisable to move to a full HR role or should I stick to my core expertise area of TA.
