Is it a bad look to withdraw from the interview process while you are still being considered? Don’t want to be rude, but I am genuinely no longer interested in the position

Not if it's done respectfully and professionally. Interviews are a two-way street: they are evaluating you, you are evaluating them. There are lots of templates online for informing the company you are not interested in continuing the process.

It's very much appreciated, but only do it if you are sure

Because you may be turning down a competitive or higher offer or end up liking the team

I’ve done that before and they’ve told me that if anything changes to let them know. They appreciate it and if they like you they’d like to keep you in their radar

Hi All, I am 11 yoe, working at a medium sized product company and I got an offer from Thoughtworks (50% hike) for a Lead Consultant role in data engineer profile.

Being a mother, I have anxiety and nervousness about joining a service based company bcoz of doubts below.
1. Job security, considering the upcoming recession is it safe to join TW at this time?
2. How good is WLB at TW for a Lead Consultant? Approx working hours on a daily basis?
3. How flexible is TW for WFH?

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk). Any ideas as to what (if anything) to do?

When should a stub start getting worried about not having much work and low billable hours?
I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.

Hi,
I had call with the HR for he position based out of Mumbai everything in interview and they are ready to share the offer. however, I quoted for 10 lakhs and they said for fixed pay of 8.75.
Although, i checked on Google as well average pay they are giving is 9.7 lakh
So should I accept the offer as per their negotiation or shall positively tell them why 10 lakh is justified?

Feeling like I’ve been “bait-and-switched”…

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.

Hello all, for those working in an agency. I wanted to see what your typical client workload is? I’ve been in my role for about a year but the workload has changed dramatically without hiring help.

Can you please share:

- how many active pitches you send per month for those clients on average

Thanks all!

What's a good place to live to access both downtown and Argonne national lab in Lemont? Looking for somewhere affordable, not interested in night life or anything but groceries and transit need to be 10 minute walk or less and be safe. Also prefer CTA over metra since my company has later night events. Thank you!!
