I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

What kinds of strategy projects would best prepare you to exit to a clinical stage pharma start-up and support their business strategy through clinical trials / an ipo?

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

Hi!! I’m an HR Coordinator currently (about two years of experience) but my job has so many responsibilities and tasks I’m beyond burnt out. It’s truly impossible to focus on one task because things are constantly being thrown my way. I’ve heard whisperings of a promotion or raise, but my workload is already too much, I don’t know if I’d want to accept more responsibility. Is it normal to feel like you have just as many responsibilities as your superiors who make 30k+ more than you?

I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. I’ve never experienced this difficult of a time searching for new opportunities. Is this normal once you hit a certain level in your career or is it just me?

I have two offers, one from Am Law 100 firm and one from Am Law 200 firm. Am Law 200 firm is offering 40K more (otherwise the firms have same hours target and, based on discussions, similar culture). I’m trying to decide between the two based on long term career prospects, both offer opportunity for NEP (not sure how realistic it is at either). Also not sure of overall earning potential down the road. Is the 40K now worth it or am I likely to make that up at the Am Law 100 firm in the future?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. Have you ever felt uncomfortable treating a patient? I don't feel unsafe, and the patient isn't making me uncomfortable physically or anything, I am just seriously disturbed by the discussions we're having about what they're going through. I've been working at this hospital 4 years and this is the first time this has ever happened. Is it wrong to consider asking for a transfer?

Don't have any family near me and it's hard to make friends with non-SW's mostly just because I'm too tired after work to want to do much. What is a fair salary for someone who has 3yrs case management, hospital experience, and a LMSW? I’m getting a lot of low ball offers, and feel like I deserve more between the 60-65 salary range.

Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:
