Hi Fishies, I was hired for wealth and asset management project EY . It is capital market domain. Any body have any idea about this project going on in EY and the tools used for it.
Please advise if anyone have idea about it.
Just want to know any global tool they use for wealth and asset management, so it's a plus for me to join.

Full 401k match, 1/3 reimbursement for any class you want to take (I used it to learn Spanish and race driving), internet reimbursement for when you work at home, 15% bonus target that’s easily 30% for top performers, generous flight caps that result in mostly business travel, plenty of internal mobility, can bring your dog to work, free physical fitness classes
People being allowed to bring their dogs to work makes me not want to work there.
OP While I don't necessarily disagree with your perspective, (because office perks can be quite gimmicky) FB does pay very well. So the money part is a non issue. I can't speak on mobility and meaningful work tho
Thanks for that perspective P1. What does “make it at Facebook” look like? Up the ladder? Recognition from senior leadership? Can you chart your own course or is it like consulting where success has a predefined path?
Google folks: I’d be curious to know if some of those cool perks (flight caps, attorneys, massages, personal training, etc... apply at fb. I feel like I’d have heard about it if they did.
Deloitte employees working in Federal sector careers aren’t offered many of these “gimmicky incentives" Deloitte OP as I work with many of them every SINGLE day and has anyone mentioned utilization? It’s one thing to have some great perks like three full meals and snacks to entice long hours but requirements to meet chargeable utilization targets is different. Are utilization targets required at Facebook, Google and other tech giants?
Consultant 2 can you hire me to work on the east coast? Joking but seriously? :)
Now for the FAANG folks onthis thread, can you share some wisdom on how to make the move?
Check out the math on a daily basis, it’s definitely a cool benefit.
Some cons for me at least:
- Promo is slow and unclear. There’s no concept of up or out, but also no concept of target promo date (even though all our managers come from Consulting)
- I won’t manage people until 5-6 years out of school whereas I would have started doing that 2 years out in Consulting
- Tech comp is inflated. I joined at ~$160K cash TC with 2 years out of undergrad and due to refreshers and inflation, I’m at $200K cash TC 3 years out of undergrad. This is great but no one else is going to pay that for an Associate/Senior Associate, so I’m a bit stuck. Most people who leave from my company 1) go to a startup and 2) takes a pay cut.
- Everything happens slowly. There’s no sense of urgency and while you have specific timelines to hit, they’re generally flexible ones, so most people take time to get stuff to you.
@C2 Those are cons I wish I had lol
We do have free snacks here, plus cold brew and kombucha on tap as well as free happy hour drinks and apps on Friday. Just depends what office you work in 😉
Google hardly takes in anyone from Deloitte though XD We're only looking at the M(BB)s
That’s a good thing to know bc the role is an individual contributor level and I’m a little uncomfortable with it bc of that. It’s in an area in which I’m accustomed to leading teams. Sounds like that shouldn’t be something I should be that concerned about after all?
Is there such thing as a “bad” role at fb? How might one sniff that out? I suspect this one is kind of siloed and the team operated many levels down from leadership.
Also Googlers of this thread—what do you all do there? Sounds like a promising exit but wondering what role you all found yourselves in there
OP- you not get a call back from them?
You better hope they don’t read this. It can’t be that hard for them to work backwards. The “brand"alone is worth joining. Deloitte was fb in 1800’s
Consultant 2 what company are you at? I used to work at Amazon and we had basically zero perks haha
@As1 Amazon is well known for not having perks though...
G1 and G2 leave a burner?
A2 - same! While I maybnot have points, I have more money in my pocket to pay for vacays. Free snacks comp with free gym! Since when has flexible deadlines been an issue if they can get me home at a reasonable hour and keep me greying faster. Sure must b frustrating not working nights and weekends to meet a deadline 😛
