Full 401k match, 1/3 reimbursement for any class you want to take (I used it to learn Spanish and race driving), internet reimbursement for when you work at home, 15% bonus target that’s easily 30% for top performers, generous flight caps that result in mostly business travel, plenty of internal mobility, can bring your dog to work, free physical fitness classes
People being allowed to bring their dogs to work makes me not want to work there.
Yea but I do love snacks
Oh, also I used one of our insanely talented lawyers to consult on the structure of my side business, which I have time to run because I’m not in consulting or banking
Google 1 straight powning noobs out here
The 'in office' perks are there to keep you in the office. It's a ploy to encourage long hours.
Google 1 basically came in here and told everyone to shutup lmao said FANG or bust
Brand power is the actual thing. Food is there so you never leave 😳
401k match + stock options + bonus * bonus multiplier is insane. Friend works there.
Not to mention:
Incredible restaurants for food, G-Ride (an internal Uber to commute between offices), free massages, insanely cheap personal training, 20% Projects (which are incredibly cool- I get to learn about a role before actually committing to it full time via transition), the freedom/ability to work from ANYWHERE in the world, extravagant offsites (Singapore, Nice, Hawaii, Tahoe, just to name a few I’ve been on), and, most importantly, the complete freedom and encouragement to be open about your career goals. I came from banking to G, and let me tell you, I’ve never received leadership support like I do here. Of course, there are some things that might not live up, but on the whole, I’m quite happy.
OP - if you think perks like the ones at Google, Facebook, or any of the firms we work for exist at most companies, you’re living in a serious bubble. Try having to pay hundreds of dollars a month for a high deductible health insurance plan, getting a 2% match (if one at all) on a 401k, and only getting a mug/T-shirt/mousepad for your end of year bonus.
Op spot on. At times folks get blindsided by a fancy office space and beer on tap.
It’s also literally all the B4 perks and then others...why you hatin?
Much better pay 💰
I work at another FAANG company.
Everyone that thinks all we get is “free food” seriously needs to get out of their bubble and actually think about the perks and their value.

Free meals and health insurance sounds standard to you? I guarantee you Deloitte doesn't pay for your meals when you are in the home office and our insurance sure isn't free, either.
Yeah this post made me see what a snot nosed little brat I can be sometimes. Need to be brought back down to earth. Thanks for calling me out guys. Have a new perspective on this situation after reading this. Sincerely appreciate it.
The level of immaturity in this statement is impressive.
P1- what’s immature about my statement?
People drool over working at Facebook, but for what? Even reading this thread I’ve yet to hear anything really out of the ordinary that Facebook has to offer its employees. The ones bulleted above are on par with most companies. I ask bc I am struggling with taking an offer there and I’m having a hard time justifying the move. So it’s Facebook. What’s the big deal?
Snacks and dry cleaning and gimmicks like that are distractions to keep you in an office longer. I work tons of hours in a job where I can at least do a great deal of it from home now.
I want money, mobility, and meaning in my work.
I recently moved from MBB to G and can happily say that the perks are so much better. I have better W/L balance while still doing very interesting work. And the people are immensely hardworking and humble vs. the snobby, better-than-thou, self-serving folks I met in consulting.
