I’m scheduled to work 10 days straight and it’s not even the holidays yet! I’m use to the normal 5 or 7 days. But with the other leaders going on vacation and business meetings I’m having to fill in their spots. Let’s just say when Friday comes someone will need to pull me out of the bed lol.

Is the EY 16 week maternity pay 100% of the salary ? I was reading the FAQs and could not find anything that said 100 % of pag provided in the 16 weeks of eligible time off.

Question on compensation for a small co with a huge independent contractor workforce that is looking at big expansion into Europe. Reports to the general counsel. 1 other lawyer. Bonus 10-18%. Last year was 15%. No 401k for highly comped employees. I asked if they would be open to having me set up a safe harbor 401 k and they said yes in the future but it won’t be part of this offer. 16 pto days. They moved from 205 to 210 but that 230 is not possible even tho posted salary range was up to 233k

The firm I work for is not closing for the hurricane. Staff were told to work from home or take PTO if they could not come in to the office (and the building is now closed until Friday). Is this normal?!

Went on Vacation and company owner freaked out that I’m away when there are some important deals going on. Ironically hes away this week too. I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

Someone came in and ordered 60 bacon double cheeseburgers… my crew thought I was kidding. 😅

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any
