I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) He could only rely on what his mind told him. It must have been very difficult but at the same time, they were very brave in defending their ideas.
