I agree with the other Weber responses. Completely entirely depends on your office / team.

Weber varies massively depending on office and even team/client. Overall not a bad place to be and the benefits are above average. Feel free to DM me to ask specific questions that are harder to ask/answer in a public forum (even if largely anonymous).

Thanks! Sent you a DM!

Same with role at other firms — whether you’re a specialty or imbedded in the account.

Depends on the office… where will you be located?

Fully remote but “out of the New York office”

Ok...thoughts on staying at current firm after giving notice? They gave me everything I wanted and better benefits. Tempted to stay... I was mostly leaving for better pay and future career prospects (partner eventually). Current firm offer: 95k for 1500 hours; 3% 401k match; 12 weeks full salary paid maternity leave; 20% equity in the firm; small firm (5 attorneys) Already accepted offer: 115k 1900 hours; potential to become partner; 6 weeks paid maternity leave; national firm. ...bad to stay?

Going from audit to advisory to a competitive firm after 1 year of audit. However, start date is not until Jan 10 at new firm. When do I put in my 2 weeks given the holiday break and busy season beginning? Note: I’m not looking for a “take three weeks off as a mental break” type solution. My wife is still in grad school, so I’m the only earner and we will have lots of loans soon. so even missing 2-3 weeks of pay is missing out on a big opportunity of loan pay down.

Is this an acceptable out-of-office reply? “Thank you for your email. I am currently “in the office” (WFH, not PTO), but I am urgently occupied in observance of CyberMonday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Just returned from my combined family vacation with my SO. Fast forward I’m more exhausted than before the vacation. My mother has been toxic all the way and didn’t miss out on a single opportunity to criticize my relationship. My in-laws were either talking all the time about random stuff or fighting between each other. Continuing…
