I’m taking a few calls for new opps at a couple different firms and wanted to get a pulse on feelings from folks who actually work there to help me narrow it down. Agencies are: Weber Shandwick, Ruder Finn, FleishmanHillard and a smaller boutique called LifeSci Communications. From The sounds of other threads on here, I’m nervous about WS. Looking for a read on Work/Life balance, how well staffed they are, avg pay range (VP level), PTO/holidays/benefits, etc. So, how do you like working there?

Weber varies massively depending on office and even team/client. Overall not a bad place to be and the benefits are above average. Feel free to DM me to ask specific questions that are harder to ask/answer in a public forum (even if largely anonymous).

Thanks! Sent you a DM!

I agree with the other Weber responses. Completely entirely depends on your office / team.

Same with role at other firms — whether you’re a specialty or imbedded in the account.

Depends on the office… where will you be located?

Fully remote but “out of the New York office”

Recently came back to Accenture and had some PTO that was paid out by my previous company. I received a final paycheck at the beginning of September with my health benefits deducted and then two weeks later I received another paycheck for my PTO payout with my health benefits deducted. I guess the company really wanted their money for me being covered until 9/30.

I gave 3 rounds of interviews for Delhivery as a program manager
After 2nd round, I was told that they have selected me but they need to have a 3rd round just to check if the role should be PM or Technical PM. I had a good interaction.
Now the HR is not responding. Everytime I email or call him, he says he'll get back today EOD. But doesn't.
What should I do in that case? Is that a rejection? Or should I keep following up?

I did a short gig back in the end of February. I asked for net 30 which they agreed, but haven’t gotten paid yet. I was lenient at first because of covid (they’re a smaller shop who does mostly experiential so I feel for them), so in the beginning of April I reached out and they told me I should get it end of month, but now that April is over they’re ghosting my emails. Any advice on what I can do? Thanks.

I know everyone advises maxing out your 401k for the tax benefits. Does anyone else not do that because of an earlier withdrawal timeline? My goals are more along the lines of FIRE and I plan to be able to retire by 45 (I’m 25 now), that would leave me with nearly twenty years before I could make any 401k withdrawals without penalty. I know I will still need the money if I make it to 65 but the lack of liquidity bothers me.

Today I am celebrating being able to pray again 🥹

I was diagnosed with herniated discs a year ago, and was not able to sit or bend, I even had days that I wasn’t able to walk. Anything I would do was so painful, so my movement was only limited to standing and laying down. So I had to pray standing up without the movements!
4 weeks ago I had a surgery for my back, and today I was able to perform the prayer with all the movements 😊😊

I am so happy! AlhamduliAllah for everything good or bad!
